Safety first

Breathwork is gentle for most people. There are specific situations where you should speak to your doctor first, and some practices we will adapt or skip for you.

Speak to your doctor first if any of these apply

  • Pregnancy
  • Cardiovascular conditions, including high blood pressure
  • Epilepsy or a history of seizures
  • Respiratory conditions or breathing difficulties
  • Recent medical procedures
  • Any other medical concern you are unsure about

This list may be extended once professional review is complete, including conditions such as panic disorder, recent surgery, glaucoma and retinal conditions, or a history of psychosis.

What we adapt

  • Seated options for every practice
  • No forced breath holds
  • Rest at any time, without needing to explain why
  • Hydration available throughout
  • You can opt out of any practice, no explanation required

Screening before your first session

Every participant completes a short health acknowledgement before their first session.
